R. Taylor Style 1 Koa 2006 - Natural

For sale today is a beautiful R. Taylor Style 1 from 2006. This is a stellar build that includes a mahogany neck with an ebony fretboard, flame Koa back and sides, tight grained spruce top, ebony bridge, abalone rosette, and ebony binding.

This guitar is a fantastic representation of the amazing things that can be done at the top level of a guitar workshop. To start, the joinery is as near to perfect as you can get. The pieces of wood that were chosen for this guitar are among the finest pieces of koa, mahogany, and spruce that you can get your hands on. The tone of this guitar is incredible with deep dynamics, harmonic brilliance, and tonal balance. The finish was kept in fantastic shape with hardly any play wear and just a few minor finish flaws.

The guitar came in with a fresh top crack. We re-humidified the guitar and sealed it, now the crack is almost invisible. We also did a bridge re-glue which is holding extremely well also. Basically we brought the guitar back up to snuff. The only other area with any finish flaws is on the back there is a scratch/impression that is about 2" long, but the clear coat is unbroken in that area. Otherwise, it is extremely clean and in beautiful shape.
