1951 Gibson SJ-200
For sale today is a Gibson SJ-200 from 1951. A few notes on the overall condition:
-This guitar has lived a lot of life and has been repaired multiple times. Highlights include multiple crack repairs in the top and side, some missing binding on the headstock and crumbling on the pickguard, and most of the braces had to be reglued when it arrived at our shop. Please give us a call if you would like to discuss the repairs in more detail. All of the work is professionally done, and this guitar is structurally sound and boasts beautiful tone.
-The frets have a fair amount of wear, but the guitar rings out up and down the fretboard without dead notes, and only some minor fret buzz in places.
-The action is currently 4/64" at the 12th fret across the board, with plenty of room to come down at the saddle in the future.
-The nut width is 1 11/16" (42.93mm)
-The weight is 4 lbs. 13.25 oz.
This guitar will be packed with the utmost care and ship fully insured with the original hardshell case. Please reach out if you have any additional questions, thanks for looking!
