Gibson SG Standard "Large Guard" 1968 - Cherry

For sale today is a modified 1968 Gibson SG. Let's start at the headstock, shall we? We have original tuners, original nut, and NO headstock repair! We have original frets (albeit worn low) that play true all the way up, the fingerboard has very little wear into the rosewood and is in good condition. The neck joint is holding tight and solid.

Now for the funky parts. The treble side horn has been hacked off. The pickups have been replaced with Brandonwound PAF clones. There has been an extra hole drilled through the top for a mini switch that is no longer present. The pots are replaced CTS 500k pots. The owner opted to replace the tremolo with a more stable stoptail setup, and filled the voids with some sort of white nylon material, and a square bit of pickguard plastic. The bridge looks to be the original Gibson and has nylon saddles. It came to us with one saddle missing, so we found a replacement and added that on. Having been weight relieved, it now only weighs 6 lbs 12 oz. It will come shipped in a non original hardshell case. Thank you for looking at this bizarre, great guitar and please feel free to reach out with any questions. Have a great day!
