Fender Musicmaster II 1966 - Olympic White w/ Original Case
For sale today is a very well preserved and great playing Fender Musicmaster II from 1966 in Olympic White. This guitar features all original parts, very little play wear, its original case, a fantastic sounding pickup and all electronics are working as they should. It also plays extremely well with low action, and no fret-out.
As you can see from the photos, this guitar was obviously never abused. It doesn't have the usual lacquer loss on the back of the neck and headstock like a lot of 60's Fenders we see. It does have some play wear, and small impressions but no large dings, dents or cracks on the neck. On the neck and the body, the lacquer has age checking which looks amazing and is a gentle reminder of the age of this guitar. The body of the guitar has some small dings, but again nothing noting any signs of abuse. There is a small area of lacquer loss on the back of the guitar from buckle rash. That is the place with the most wear on the guitar, which is still considerably light. The neck pocket has some lacquer checking, but doesn't have the characteristic cracks that these sometimes have. The rosewood fretboard has a fantastic red/brown hue to it and does not have much wear at all. The frets still have tons of life to them. There is no fret-out or dead notes as you move up the neck. The original case is in great shape too. The weight of this guitar is 6 lbs. 5 oz.
