Domino Dawson 1960's Hollow Body - Sunburst

For sale today is a very unique and beautiful hollow body from the 1960's. This is the Domino Dawson model guitar. It features a bound mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard, a double-bound maple body with two great sounding single coil pickups. The pickups each have their own volume and tone controls, and a 3-way selector switch to choose what position. The bridge and tailpiece are original to the guitar but it does not have a tremolo bar. The pickguard was also removed at some point earlier in life.

The finish is a beautiful red/brown to yellow sunburst that truly looks the part of a vintage 60's guitar. There are some various dings and scuffs on the finish but no structural issues. There are no cracks anywhere on this guitar. Someone has added a shim in the neck pocket to correct the angle of the neck. It plays pretty well, and these pickups sound marvelous, this is a great guitar. The action is good and playability is too, although it's not perfect as these are the original frets in the guitar. The first two frets have some light divots but nothing that affects playability. As you move up the neck there are some areas that sizzle, but nowhere do you fret out. It has good intonation also. It is a full hollow body design, so if you are someone who wants a little more air in their sound, this is a great choice.
