Kramer XL-8 - 1980-81

For sale today is a Kramer XL-89 manufactured sometime in 1980 or 1981. This bass is in good shape, with the expected dings and scuffs in a 45-year-old instrument, but no major cosmetic issues (see photos). A few notes on the overall condition:

-Frets have some wear, but the wear is even, and the bass rings out without dead spots, up until the 12th fret.

-The bass has shifted over the years, and has some issues above the 12th fret. The E, A, and D strings have some significant buzz above the 12th fret, but the notes are all there. The G strings fret out completely beyond the 15th fret. These instruments were not manufactured with truss rods, due to the neck material.

-The seams between the metal and wood on the neck can be felt, but do not affect playing in a negative way.

-All electronics function and the bass sounds fantastic.

-Weight is 11 lbs 2.7 oz.
