Fender Jazz Bass 1968 - Blue Refin
For sale today is a very unique and awesome Fender Jazz Bass from 1968. This features an era correct replaced (Fender) neck with original tuners, a refinished body with original pickguard, original pickups, original pots, knobs, and original control plate. The neck plate is original as well as the bridge and saddles. The saddle screws have been changed. The bass has tons of mojo and looks very radical in this blue finish that contrasts well with the tortoise shell guard.
The bass has had some modifications made to it that set it in a unique "player" class. The neck has been re-shaped and re-finished which is why there is extra room in the neck pocket. The neck was also re-bound and re-fretted. Here's some dimensions of that neck to help you visualize the feel and shape. The nut width is 1.47" and the neck width at the 12th fret is 1.98". The neck depth at the first fret is .84" and at the 12th fret is .99". That translates to a super fast, skinny neck. There's almost no fret-wear at all so it plays well. The real appeal is in these pickups. The sound is all there straight from 1968 in the original wiring and the sound from them is immense. It will ship in a non-original hardshell case and will be packed with utmost care. Please let us know if you have any additional questions about this great bass and we will do our best to help. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
