For sale today is a Supro 88T 2x12" amplifier from 1965. Estimated to be about 25-30 watts. This amp sounds marvelous! The sound out of this really does give you an idea as to why Jimmy Page used Supro in recordings with Zeppelin. When you have the amp at half volume, it stays fairly clean with just a smidge of breakup when you really hit the strings hard. Dime the amp to full volume and you hear that Zeppelin-esq breakup sound that still remains somewhat clean and is extremely responsive to touch.
The amp is in incredible shape with ultra clean tolex, and most of the paint on the control panel is still intact and legible. The amp has had service recently and now sounds fantastic! Even the tremolo circuit sounds clean and works just as intended. It will include the original caps & handle that were replaced. It does not appear to be modified in any way other than to replace the cord and handle. The grille cloth is also in fantastic shape. The original Jensen speakers are responsive and sound just as they should with no odd resonant frequencies from them, or the cab at any volume. It does not include a footswitch.
