1964 Fender Bassman Head
For sale today is a beautiful looking and sounding Fender Bassman Amp. This black panel head features two channels and the presence knob, which ended in 1964. It has the expected dings and scratches from the last 70 years, but been kept in overall great shape and obviously never been abused (see photos for cosmetic condition).
The amp has been well maintained, it sounds fantastic and functions perfectly. One detail to note, the tube chart is labeled as a 1966, which is a bit of a head scratcher. Maybe the original cabinet got damaged and a previous owner put the chasis in a new cabinet? Maybe an amp tech made a mistake while repairing multiple Bassman Amps? Either way, the cabinet is still original 60's Fender, and the serial number, pots, transformers, and presence knob all point to this being a 1964. This item is available for in-store pickup only. Please reach out if you have any additional questions, thanks for looking!
