For sale today is a very beautiful looking and sounding Martin HD-35 from 2020. This guitar features a mahogany neck, ebony fretboard with dot inlays, a spruce top, a 3-piece rosewood back, and rosewood sides. The guitar is a show-stopper not just for its beautiful appointments and construction, but also for its depth of tone. The sound is lush with tons of high end sparkle, and fantastic bass response also. These guitars are notorious these sounds, but this one does even a little extra. It also features an LR-Baggs Anthem pickup system so you can sound great plugged in too.
The setup is currently at 4/32" (low "E" 12th-fret) and 3/32" (high "E" 12th-fret) and with this action it's sounding and playing great. The overall condition of the guitar is very good as it has been very well taken care of since it was purchased new 4 years ago. It was played however, so it does have some signs of use. The light wear on this guitar is completely normal, and does not affect the construction, playability, or sound. On the top of the guitar, you will notice some extremely minor pick scratching near the soundhole. On the right side where the pickguard meets the top, there are 3 small indentations (smaller than grain of rice, do not break clear-coat). The side of the guitar has one spot where there was a small impact repair that's 1-1/2" long. I showed close-ups of that repair both with blacklight and without. Other than that, there are only small clear coat scratches to note and nothing large. The back of the guitar has the most scratching, but it is still very insignificant. It's in great shape with none of the scratches breaking through the finish. The back of the neck is ding-free and so is the top of the headstock, but the heel has a couple of small marks on it which you can see in the photos. This is not a featherweight at 5 lbs. 1 oz. but that doesn't hinder a single thing about the tone. It sustains like a champ and hits you with a full EQ spectrum whether you're playing lightly or strumming like your life depends on it.
