Martin D-35 1976 - Natural
For sale today is a beautiful Martin D-35 from 1976. This guitar features a mahogany neck, solid 3-pc rosewood back, solid rosewood sides, an ebony fretboard and bridge, spruce top, Grover tuners, a bound body and neck, and it sounds fantastic. It has not been drilled for any electronics and has a tension-fit end pin.
This guitar came to us in pretty amazing shape for its age. Just look at the photos to see just how clean this guitar is. It was very obviously well taken care of its whole live and never abused. It does have some finish imperfections here and there, with the most obvious ones being in the final two photographs on the listing. In my opinion these are some of the most beautiful guitars Martin makes due to the 3-piece rosewood back. That is such a pleasing aesthetic choice. From the front, this guitar still looks quite modest without the extra inlay, abalone, and pearl that other higher models get. It does look to have had the bridge off at some point and the original re-glued. The pickguard was replaced also. The saddle is on the lower side, but still allows you to play with ease up and past the 12th fret. If you desire to have lower action than the 7/64" (12th fret bass side) and 5/64" (12th fret treble side) then lowering the saddle is not an option. It weighs in at a comfortable 4 lbs. 10 oz.
This is a fantastic example and it will come shipped in its original blue molded Martin hardshell case and packed with utmost care.
