Martin D-28 w/ Baggs Anthem 1978 - Natural
For sale today is a fantastic 1978 Martin D28 with an LR Baggs Anthem pickup! This beautiful guitar features rosewood back/sides, spruce top, ebony fretboard, a mahogany neck, and weighs in at 5 lbs. The guitar has that beautiful finish checking that we love to see on the top, and the guitar has held up well with no cracks. The tone from this guitar is balanced and sweet with no odd overtones or rattling braces.
There are a couple of minor dings on the top that are visible in the photos that go through the clear coat, but still this one is much cleaner than most 70's Martins we see. The original pickguard started curling, so it was replaced with a newer pickguard somewhat recently. Other than that, the guitar looks to be original aside from having the LR Baggs Anthem pickup installed. The neck is extremely comfortable with slightly higher string action, and still some saddle room to go down if you so choose. The string height is .09" at the 12th fret bass side, and .07" at the 12th fret on the treble side.
This guitar will come shipped in its original hardshell case (black) and will be packed with utmost care.
