Guild D-55 1992 - Natural

For sale today is a 1992 Guild D55 in natural finish. This guitar features a solid rosewood back/sides and solid spruce top. The ebony fretboard and bridge are jet-black and the fretboard inlays are beautiful abalone/MOP blocks. The bound body, neck, and headstock really make the edges of this guitar visually pop and the lacquer is still shiny and nice.

The tone out of this guitar is next level with maybe even a little more low end than we usually expect out of these! It rings out well on the treble strings also and offers a wide tonal range. The action is comfortable, but a little bit high. At the twelfth fret we have 7/64" on the bass side and 6/64" on the treble. That being said, the guitar rings out well and plays well too. The saddle is as low as it will go however, so to bring the action down from where it is now it will either need a neck reset, or to have the bridge shaved. The back binding was starting to separate from the hip when we got it. We have repaired that which you can see in the close up photos. It will ship in its original hardshell case. Please let us know if you have any additional questions on this great guitar and we will do our best to help. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
