Gibson B-25-12 1962 - 1969 - Natural
For sale today is a Gibson B-25-12 from the 60's. This great guitar has some neat features that put this guitar in a different category than the typical guitars of the same model. This one has been converted from having a trapeze tailpiece, to a standard style bridge with pins, which makes the sound much more full. It also had a walnut pickguard added in place of the typical plastic. The tuners were also upgraded to Schallers.
The guitar has seen some repairs over the years. Obviously the tuners, bridge, and pickguard were swapped out, but there are some other things to note also. There are two repaired back cracks that run vertically, and are repaired (see photos). The top appears to be refinished. The heel has a strap button installed that appears to run through the heel, and through the neck block on the inside of the guitar where it is tightened with a threaded nut. There is some glue runoff around the heel so the neck looks to have been off the guitar at some point. The frets do not appear to be original, and are very lightly worn. They play great, the action is nice and low, and the guitar is ready for many more years of playing. If you have any questions on this guitar please don't hesitate to reach out. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
