1952 Gibson LG-2 - Refinished
For sale today is a 1952 Gibson LG-2. This guitar left the factory in 1952, but returned to Gibson at some point in the early 60s to receive a refinish and a new pickguard, hence the current appearance. It is a great sounding and playing example of an LG-2 from this era, boasting a rich, balanced tone. The fret wear is even and the frets have life left in them, ensuring this guitar still rings out up and down the neck and plays well. The guitar received a neck reset at our shop, as well as a replaced bridge, as the original was cracked. This has left the guitar playing very comfortably, with the action at the 12th fret sitting at 2/32" on the high E and 3/32" on the Low E, with rom to come down at the saddle. There are a couple repaired cracks in the top, the repairs appear professionally done (although they were not done here) and nothing is moving, it all feels solid. There is also a patch of discoloration on the top, visible in the photos. The guitar will be packed with the utmost care. Please reach out if you have any additional questions, thanks for looking!
